Dear Blogrviewer (excuse my language but I just started creating a new English Dictionary)
Its 8:15 12 January, X-mas and NYE passed , thanks non-existing God, and work was waiting for me early this morning like the mistress waiting her lover wearing her night dress. I like work, and especially the voluntary one, gives you fulfillment. Maslow's hierarchy of needs, describes this fulfillment as the desire to become more and more what one is, to become everything that one is capable of becoming...... Now what, you may ask, has this to do with volunteer work? Doing something for others is a way of making yourself feel good about yourself. When you reach out to others, especially those who are less fortunate than yourself, you will, without even trying to, begin the process of developing your inner self, your real self. Not the outer showy superficial self, how you look.
So this is the challenge! Do you want to reach your full potential?? Do you want to feel strong instead of weak? Do you want to feel worthwhile instead of worthless? Then take an internship. There is an old saying: In the service of your fellowman you will find yourself.
So have the courage to take up the challenge. Well, here are some tips of how an internship(voluntary work) can help you reach this level:
1.The choice must be conscious and self determined (meaning that you were not pushed by your parents )
2.Choose a voluntary work that you believe you can gain something as well (you don't want to spend 5 months in the Himalaya, taking part in research of how to regenerate dinosaur eggs)
3.Be prepared to starve ( forget all your capitalistic views, you will feed yourself with personal growth), remember : VOLUNTEER=a person who performs a service willingly and without pay
4.Choose a “reasonable” internship period. Referring to the previous tip, in order to reach the self actualization level, otherwise in order to reach a clear understanding of this level of need one must first not only achieve the previous needs, physiological, safety, love, and esteem, but master these needs, so without a full tummy there is no full .......
5.Be prepared to work
like any other normal job--- BLINK BLINK—volunteer doesn’t mean
that the workload will depend on your willingness or not to work,
whilst you should respect your punctual and dedicated colleagues
6.Prepare an attractive CV, as your competitors will be highly motivated human beings(hope so), and you don't want to end up realizing that your CV is just another copy among the thousands. So, make it UNIQUE
7.Last but not least, NOW you are ready to enter the world of volunteer work----> enter your inner self, reaching the highest of your potential (at least at this point)
